A Custom 70m² Addition Designed for More Family Space
This custom second storey addition in Jordan Springs added:
- A master bedroom with ensuite
- Two additional bedrooms
- A family bathroom
- Approximately 70m² of additional floor space
Unlike our standard package layouts, this approximately 70m² addition was custom-designed around the homeowners’ needs. The upper level was individually planned for a family whose priority was additional bedroom and bathroom accommodation rather than another living room.
By dedicating the available floor area to three bedrooms, an ensuite and a family bathroom, the design created a practical new sleeping level above the original single-storey home.

The approximately 70m² floor plan places the master bedroom and ensuite on one side of the staircase, with two further bedrooms and the family bathroom arranged across the remaining upper level.
Unlike our standard package layouts, this project does not include an upstairs living room. Instead, the space was deliberately used to create three comfortable bedrooms and two separate bathrooms based on the homeowners’ requirements.
This custom approach allowed the family to obtain the rooms they needed while keeping the established ground-floor footprint and outdoor areas.
The Completed Jordan Springs Second Storey Addition
From the street, the new upper level sits neatly above the original home and follows its existing roof form. Light-coloured upper-storey cladding creates contrast with the dark ground-floor brickwork, while the tiled roof and white window finishes connect the old and new sections.
The completed project transformed the property from a single-storey residence into a larger two-storey family home while maintaining a balanced appearance within the surrounding Jordan Springs streetscape.
